'Thalaivii', starring Kangana Ranaut as Jayalalitha, will hit the screens on September 10. Three days before its theatrical release, premieres were held for celebs and journalists in Mumbai. And, two days before the release, Chennai-based celebs and film critics were in for preview shows. On Thursday (a day before the release), premieres are scheduled to be held in Hyderabad.

The Mumbai and Chennai shows have helped the film gain a good buzz. A lot of those who got to watch the AL Vijay-directed movie have reviewed it in glowing terms. Only a few reviews are mixed.

The national media has started reviewing 'Thalaivii' already. Since most of them are positive, the biopic is enjoying an edge in terms of garnering eyeballs. 'Thalaivii', to be released in Tamil and Telugu besides Hindi, is written by Vijayendra Prasad. The final 20 minutes are said to be superb, especially.

The film has Arvind Swamy as MGR. In his latest interview, the 'Dhruva' actor said that he saw playing the role as a responsibility. Samuthirakani, who will be seen in 'RRR' and 'Bheemla Nayak', is said to have delivered a dekko.
