Ahead of the release of Mass Raja Ravi Teja's highly anticipated film "Eagle" on February 9, 2024, producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory found himself compelled to address certain insinuations and allegations circulating about him within the industry.
Taking to social media, Vishwa Prasad penned a detailed response following indirect attacks from some quarters of the industry, alleging that he had mistreated workers and trade unions.
In his statement, Vishwa Prasad clarified that his remarks during a promotional interview for "Eagle" were misconstrued by certain individuals, leading to the spread of misinformation. He emphasized that his comments were directed towards the detrimental impact of corruption within his production house on the overall quality of films.
Addressing the issue directly, he asserted that any grievances within his organization are dealt with transparently, either through direct communication or through the appropriate channels within trade unions. Vishwa Prasad reaffirmed his commitment to integrity in his dealings, stating that those not involved in corrupt practices are welcome to work with pride in his company.
Despite having the option to pursue legal action against those engaging in corruption, Vishwa Prasad stated that he chose to prioritize the well-being of their families and refrain from such measures.
He concluded his message by underlining his longstanding dedication to the film industry, highlighting the extensive workforce he has employed over the years and reiterating his stance against corruption. Vishwa Prasad emphasized that honesty prevails and that the collective spirit of cinema transcends any individual's actions.
Here is TG.Vishwa Prasad's post on social media.
" Repying to a question asked by a reporter as part of the promotion of our Eagle film, I told them how the quality of films is being affected due to the corruption in my production house.
It came to my attention that some industrialists misinterpreted and , distorted my comments and spread misinformation that I had insulted trade union members and workers.
I said that due to the corruption of some people in the industry, my hard working union workers are not getting my money.. I don't care what outsiders have to do with my comments about the internal affairs of my company.
If someone in my organization doesn't get paid, they talk directly. If the union receives a complaint, we will solve it in the chamber or in the council.
I came into the film business because I liked it. I don't need to steal someone else's hard work.
All those who are not involved in corruption can work proudly in my company.. I can take legal action against corrupt people. But I thought of their families and left them.
That is my own decision.. No relation to outsiders.. In the more than thirty films that I have made, there are more than three lakh labor brothers. Another batch of films are on the set. I am not against union workers.
Only those who are robbing their hard work and my money together..
I never succumb to any corrupt person.. Honesty prevails.. And cinema is bigger than any individual..
Yours
TG Vishwa Prasad"
