Science fiction movies are a rarity in Kollywood. In contrast, Bollywood has been experimenting with sci-fi movies and the success of films like Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish are examples to it.

Now Kollywood will have a science fiction movie in the form of E.

Directed by Jananathan, the movie dwells on bio-war. According to the director, 'It is how the Third World War will be fought. E is an attempt towards educating people on bio-war'.

'The movie is about innocent civilians being made samples for the tests on bio-war. Its repercussions form the crux of the movie', he adds. 'However Jananathan maintains that doing an out-and-out science fiction in Tamil is impossible. Hence in E, we have sprayed commercial elements in the right mix.'

E features Jeeva, Nayantra, Ashish Vidyarthy, Pasupathy and Karunaas in lead roles.

Music is by Srikanth Deva and cinematography by Ekambaram.
