If the trailer of 'Durgamati' (Hindi) is anything to go by, Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar may have struggled to recreate the magic of Anushka Shetty in the remake of 'Bhaagamathie'. Produced by Cape of Good Films, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra, the film's trailer suggests that 'Durgamati' is a faithful remake.

Arshad Warsi, Jisshu Sengupta of 'Bheeshma' fame, Mahie Gill (reprising Asha Sarath from the original) and Karan Kapadia are part of the cast. "Durgavati is crafted as a fast-paced, intelligent thriller in a twist-a-minute style and has strongly etched characters that will create a deep impact with the audience as they are gripped by the world of conspiracy and crime, served with a layer of scare," the makers said on Wednesday, unveiling the trailer.

The thriller, which features the female protagonist as an IAS officer, will stream on Amazon Prime from December 11. It's presented by Akshay Kumar.
