Kamal Haasan will start shooting for his next magnum opus 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar and produced by Lyc Productions in the second week of December 2018. The film that has music by Anirudh Ravichandar is said to have Nayanthara as the leading lady and Nedumudi Venu is also said to be reprising his role of a CBI officer from the original film.

Now the latest additions to the cast of 'Indian 2' according to sources close to the team is that young multilingual hero Dulquer Salman has joined the cast. The busy actor was last seen effectively portraying the late legendary actor Gemini Ganesan in 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' starring Keerthy Suresh as celebrated actress Savithri in her biopic.

'Indian' released in the year 1996 was a nationwide mega-hit and starred Kamal in dual roles with Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Suganya, Gowndamani, Senthil and Nedumudi Venu.
