Dulquer Salmaan is prepping up for the release of the multi-starrer 'Varane Avishyamundu', directed by debutant Anoop Sathyan. Also, the actor is busy shooting for his ambitious project 'Kurup', helmed by Srinath Rajendran.

As per the latest update, the third and final schedule of the movie kick-started recently in Mangalore. The team has already shot in Kerala and various parts of North India and Dubai.

'Kurup' is based on the true story of Sukumara Kurup, the most wanted criminal in the history of Kerala. Accused of murdering a film representative named Chacko, Sukumara Kurup faked his own death to claim a large amount of insurance. It is one of the longest unsolved cases in Kerala till date.

Dulquer plays Sukumara Kurup and Indrajith will be seen as the policeman investigating the crime. Reportedly, Dulquer will be seen in multiple looks. The cast of ‘Kurup’ also includes some other big names like Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Sobhita Dhulipala and Shine Tom Chacko.

Scripted by Daniell Sayooj Nair and K S Aravind, the movie's story is by Jithin K Jose. 'Luca' fame cinematographer Nimish Ravi is cranking the lens and Sushin Shyam is in charge of music and background scores. Editing is by Vivek Harshan.

'Kurup' is Dulquer’s second project as a producer after 'Maniyarayile Ashokan'. The makers are eyeing for an Eid release.
