Dulquer Salmaan's 'Kurup' clears censor board formalities

Actor Dulquer Salmaan's much awaited movie Kurup directed by Srinath Rajendran cleared the censor board formalities. With a run time of two hours and 36 minutes, the movie has been awarded with a U/A certificate.
Scheduled to hit the screens on November 12, the movie's trailer and songs have been released and have already struck the right chord among the audiences. Ahead of its release, the movie's promo will be screened on November 10 at 8.10 p.m. on the world's tallest structure. With this special event, the movie will make history as being the first Malayalam film to have its trailer played on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Kurup, directed by Srinath Rajendran, is a biopic that narrates the story of Kerala's most wanted fugitive Sukumara Kurup, who after reading a crime involving embezzlement of insurance money in Germany, got motivated to insure and script his own death by murdering a man, Chacko, to lay his hands on the money. Apart from Dulquer Salmaan, the movie also features Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko and Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles.
Bankrolled by Dulquer Salamaan’s production company - Wayfare films in association with M Star Entertainment, the movie will be released in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.
