Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan, who has acted in Telugu and Tamil as well, has been roped in for a crucial role in a Hindi-language thriller to be directed by the critically acclaimed director R Balki, who has previously made 'Cheeni Kum', 'Paa' and 'Pad Man' in the past.

To be shot soon, the untitled flick has 'Gadar' actor Sunny Deol as a lead actor. Pooja Bhatt and Shreya Dhanwanthary have other roles.

Set to hit the screens in early 2022, the film will go on the floors in Mumbai soon.

Tweeting about the movie, the excited 'Mahanati' actor wrote, "Super excited to be a part of the wonderful Balki's next with an all-time fav superstar Sunny Deol sir, the lovely and timeless Pooja Bhatt maam and the super talented Shreya Dhanwanthary! Blessed to work with these incredible artists. Cannot wait to start filming!"

Dulquer Salmaan is currently playing Lieutenant Ram in director Hanu Raghavapudi's upcoming trilingual movie. It is a period drama produced by Aswini Dutt. The film is currently in the production phase and will finalize its release date soon.
