Dulquer Salmaan is known for his strong gangster films. “King Of Kotha,” his upcoming biggie, is touted to be an epic gangster saga and is one of the most talked about films in his career. The makers launched the film’s trailer in Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Telugu today.
The 2.5-minute-long video opens with a voice saying that Dulquer Salmaan’s character aims to be a notorious gangster since his childhood, which is a subtle ‘Goodfellas’ touch by the maker. Dulquer Salmaan plays Raju, a footballer and don who rules the crime capital Kotha. The film chronicles the rise and fall of Raju and how he reclaims his throne in Kotha.
The trailer has ample mass moments for Dulquer Salmaan to pique the audience’s interest towards the movie. King Of Kotha is not only a story of a gangster but also a tale about the place and its people. We are introduced to prominent characters in the land of Kotha in the brilliantly cut trailer with rich visuals and a scintillating musical score.
Directed by Abilash Joshy, the film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dancing Rose Shabeer, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod, Gokul Suresh, Shammi Thilakn, Shanthi Krishna, Vada Chennai Saran, Anikha Surendran and others. Jakes Bejoy scored the music with DOP by Nimish Ravi and editing by Shyam Sasidharan. King Of Kotha comes to cinemas on Onam 2023 in August.
