Actors taking to playback singing is nothing new. for the upcoming releases 'Charlie' and 'Jo and the Boy', the lead actors will pitch in with their songs. 'Charlie' which has music by Gopi Sunder will have a song by Dulquer. This is a Martin Prakkat movie and Dulquer has previously sung for the director in 'ABCD'.

Manju Warrier is already known for her unique voice. She has lent her voice for a song in 'Jo and the Boy'. The audio has already been released. The actress has been getting wide appreciation for the song. The movie also has Sanoop in the title role. Rojin Thomas has directed this movie.
