Dubai Princess Sheikha Mahra Announces Divorce on Instagram

Daughter of Dubai's ruler, Shaikha Mahra Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, posted on Instagram her divorce from her husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.
The news follows the birth of their first child, slightly over two months ago. Dear Husband, I hereby declare our divorce as you are busy with other companions, Sheikha Mahra said. I divorce you; I divorce you; I divorce you. Look after it. your former wife.
The couple wed in May last year; their daughter was born one year later. Previously expressing her delight over becoming a mother, Sheikha Mahra thanked her medical team and hospital staff for their treatment and described her most memorable experience. Pictures showed Sheikh Mana cradling their newborn daughter.
But Sheikha Mahra posted a mysterious note on Instagram weeks earlier, hugging her infant beneath the caption Just the two of us, suggesting underlying problems. The Dubai princess is well-known for her backing of local UAE designers and advocacy of women's emancipation. She studied at the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Administration College and boasts an International Relations degree from a UK university.
One of the 26 offspring of the Dubai ruler, Sheikha Mahra has Greek and Emirati ancestry since her mother, Zoe Grigorakos, is from Greece. Social media was alive with comments following the divorce announcement.
