DSPs vs film industry: Producers & exhibitors give ultimatum

It's known that Film Federation of India and South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce are fighting against the monopoly of a few digital service providers. On Jan 31, representatives of these bodies collectively met to discuss the future course of action.
They felt that DSPs are unfairly mopping up a share of the revenues that should justifiably belong to producers by levying high charges. Some of them felt that they are like East India Company in resorting to excessive profiteering. Through cartelization, they are preventing new and small players from entering the industry.
The producers and exhibitors are demanding that charges be fair. They also expect DSPs to share their ad revenues with them.
In a week's time, a meeting between film industry representatives and DSPs will be held regarding lowering of rentals. In case the issue is not resolved, Tollywood will shut down completely from March 1.
