In a distressing incident, a woman allegedly assaulted a traffic home guard in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills area after he stopped her for driving on the wrong route. A circulating video captures part of the altercation, showing her engaging in a heated argument with several individuals.

The timestamp on the video indicates that the incident occurred around 8:20 pm on February 24. In the footage, the woman, identified as Sri Latha, is seen disputing with a man, asserting that others are also driving on the wrong route. She claims to have requested the traffic guard, Vignesh, to simply take a picture of her car and allow her to proceed. She defiantly states, "If I am on the wrong route, I know that."

Sri Latha verbally berated Vignesh upon being stopped, with eyewitnesses noting that she persisted in her aggression despite attempts by bystanders to intervene. At one juncture, she even physically assaulted Vignesh for recording the incident on his phone, smashing the device on the ground.

"For half an hour, she obstructed traffic by parking her car in the middle of the road, causing inconvenience to others. Additionally, she engaged in a verbal altercation with the home guard, making objectionable remarks," stated Rakesh Reddy, SI (traffic) of Banjara Hills. Based on Vignesh's complaint, the police have registered a criminal case against Sri Latha, although she has yet to be summoned for questioning.

The circulation of the video prompted varied reactions from the public, with individuals expressing their opinions and calling for appropriate action. "Take necessary action. If required, book the lady," urged one user, while another insisted, "Police should take action." A third commenter remarked, "This has become a trend nowadays. How dare she attack a policeman on duty, especially while driving on the wrong side so boldly? Please take the strictest action against the driver in question."
