A man from Bihar has been arrested after he was accused by a woman of raping her pregnant goat under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday.

A woman from rural Patna filed a complaint against 27-year-old Mohammed Simraj who raped a three-month pregnant goat in an inebriated state. The accused abducted the goat from outside the owner’s residence and allegedly assaulted the animal sexually before he left its dead body outside the house later that day. The owner claimed multiple witnesses to the horrific incident following which Simraj confessed to his crime. The police are also probing how the man got his hands on alcohol as there has been a prohibition for the last three years.

The body of the goat has been sent to a veterinary hospital for post-mortem and other medical examination. A case has been registered under appropriate sections of the IPC and the Wildfire Protection Act, 1971.
