'Vasuki' is the dubbed version of the Malayalam revenge drama 'Puthiya Niyamam'. Starring Nayanthara and Mammootty in lead roles, the film sees the star actress in the role of the latter's wife.

"At a time when a drug scandal has hit Tollywood and Mollywood's top actor Dileep has been arrested in connection with the molestation of an actress, 'Vasuki' tells a story that deals with certain drug addict characters, their behaviour and a rape case," the makers say. Touted to be a suspenseful family thriller, 'Vasuki' comes with the caption 'New law against rape'.

Baby Ananya in an important role. Songs are by Vennelakanti and Bhuvanachandra.

The film is done with all post-production works. The makers are looking at a wide release.

Directed by AK Sajan, it has music by Gopi Sundar of 'Ninnu Kori'. SR Mohan is producing the Telugu version.
