It's known that star director Puri Jagannadh and actor Tarun were questioned by the SIT in connection with a drugs racket in 2017. Recently, the ED questioned Puri in connection with the same case for several hours in Hyderabad.
The news is that, on Saturday, the Forensic Science Laboratory gave a clean chit to the Puri-Tarun duo. The FSL stated that there is no evidence that the 'Liger' director and the 'Nuvve Kavali' actor had consumed drugs.
As reported by Telugu news channels, the clean chit has come as a major development in the years-old drugs case.
In recent days, the likes of Rana Daggubati have already been questioned by the ED. As per media reports, nothing substantial has been discovered by the investigative agencies linking Tollywood to the drugs rack and money laundering.
On the work front, Puri has resumed his work on 'Liger', which stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead. The movie is a pan-India project. His son Akash Puri awaits the release of 'Romantic' in October.
