In a sensational development, the Narcotics authorities have arrested Zafar Sadiq, the prime accused in a staggering Rs 2000 crore drug trafficking case, in Jaipur after he managed to give the Delhi Police a slip during preliminary investigation.

According to charges, Sadiq has been charged with masterminding the multinational drug smuggling conspiracy, which is said to be closely linked with the film industry. Charges say that he is also linked to the film production 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' directed by Aamir and holds an important position in DMK.

Thus, the lookout notice was only preparatory to the thought of any such flying out of the country, even further, while he was anyway to be sacked from the party over very serious drug charges.

According to reports, Central Narcotics Control Officers arrested Sadiq for further interrogation in order to establish the intricate network behind drug peddling. Information on his arrest will reportedly be revealed to the press at a scheduled press brief in the afternoon.
