Jeethu Joseph's blockbuster thriller 'Drishyam' (2013), starring Mohanlal and Meena has been remade in most Indian languages. After winning critical acclaims in all the languages into which the movie was remade, the movie is all set to go International. A Chinese movie company has bought the remake rights of Drishyam.
Jeethu Joseph who has directed and scripted the movie announced the news himself through his official Facebook page. Superstar Mohanlal shared the news with this note: “Malayalam Movie Industry is conquering more heights, Today at Beijing a Chinese Company bought the remake rights of our movie Drishyam. Indeed a Proud moment for our Industry and Congrats to the whole team behind the success of Drishyam”
It is the first time a Chinese production team bags the script rights of an Indian regional film. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Ashirvad Cinemas banner, the movie has a universal appeal, which is evident from the success it gained in all the languages.
