Veteran actor Mela Raghu, who was last seen in Mohanlal's Drishyam 2, is fighting for his life in a hospital. The actor, who has dwarfism, collapsed at his home last week and is in critical condition. The actor, who is in an unconscious state for the past week, is currently on ventilator support at a private hospital in Kochi. The family is said to be in dire financial straits due to the high cost of treatment and is seeking support from the film industry.

Actor Mela Raghu who made his film debut alongside megastar Mammootty in the 1980 movie Mela, has acted in more than 30 Malayalam and Tamil films. Raghu has also acted in Kamal Haasan’s blockbuster Tamil movie Apoorva Sagodharangal.
