The sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Dream Girl releases this Friday. Ayushmann Khurrana is back as the lead, with Ananya Panday joining him as his love interest, Pari. Her character comes with a fresh and positive touch after Aditya Roy Kapur's stellar cast. Ananya has been making headlines not only for her professional work but also for her rumoured relationship ties with Aditya Roy Kapur. There has been no official confirmation from either side yet, but close moments during an European vacation raised eyebrows.

In an interview promoting Dream Girl 2, Ananya shared insights about her future partner preferences, joking that her dad is the benchmark. "They have to be as kind, as loving, and as funny as my dad," she expressed. Ananya expects that her coming projects will take centre stage because of her on-screen roles.

In the movie, Karam falls for Ananya's Pari. But her father sets some conditions for her marriage. With trailers and songs like "Dil Ka Telephone 2.0," "Naach," and "Jamnapaar" already out there, excitement is building up. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, this ensemble cast of Paresh Rawal, Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, and Vijay Raaz, among many others, promises a side-splitting watch. The movie opens on August 25th.

Besides Dream Girl 2, Ananya's future projects include the Farhan Akhtar production "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan" and the interesting cyber thriller ""Control," helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane.
