Director Mohan G who has directed only two films 'Pazhaya Vannarapettai' and 'Draupadi' is seen as a controversial figure on social media due to his casteist opinions. His recent post has angered Mani Ratnam fans for unnecessary pulling him to emphasize a point.

Mohan G posted a still of Mani Ratnam's 'Ravanan' featuring Vikram in the title role and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a character representing Sita. He has written in Tamil "You all are in a different level, celebrating a personality who steals another man's wife from his house when he is not present and feeling proud that you belong to his lineage. Congrats".

Mohan G apparently has posted the troll to sarcastically slam those who are opposing the recent Rama Temple foundation laying ceremony held by Prime Minister Modi and Yogi Adityanath. The section have celebrated Ravana hailing him as a just king and that he was Tamilian.

Anyways the 'Ravanan' movie still is what that had Mani Ratnam fans angry and made them misinterpret Mohan G's post.
