Toronto police are asking for help as they investigate a shooting that left a security guard seriously hurt outside musician Drake's house.
Tuesday at about two in the morning, gunfire broke out in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood. The gunmen drove away from the scene.
Police said the attackers opened fire from their car when the security officer was stationed at Drake's front gates.
People who might have video or pictures of the suspects or the getaway car are being asked to come forward and provide them to the police.
Inspector Paul Krawczyk said that Drake's team is actively working with the investigation but declined to confirm Drake's presence during the event.
Although the reason is yet unknown, Krawczyk acknowledged the continuous rivalry between Drake and another rapper Kendrick Lamar, which has recently gotten more heated with a string of sharp lyrics.
The following day, there was another security issue at Drake's residence, and authorities had to deal with an attempted break-in. Later on, the person in question was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act.
