The much awaited foundation laying stone event for construction of Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial next to Abhiman Studio on Mysore Road is taking place on November 6, 2014.

It is Rs.11 crored Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial that will be seeing the foundation stone event from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The announcement was made on Monday in the presence of long time friend of Dr Vishnuvardhana and current minister of Karnataka Dr Ambarish, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Anirudh Jathakara, Information Minister Roshan Baig, Smt Shalini Rajanish, secretary of Kannada and culture and information director NR Vishukumar and secretary of Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial Ravikumar presence.

As of now on Uttarahalli road next to Abhiman Studio on two acres of land where Dr Vishnuvardhana was consigned to flames on 30th of December 2009 – the land litigation lead to complications. 2 acres of land just opposite to this actual place is now marked for a prayer hall, huge statue of Dr Vishnuvardhana, a library etc.

The Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has asked the builders to take care of good quality of work.
