It is known that Dr. Ramesh of Ramesh Hospitals and the managements are in trouble after the recent fire mishap in the COVID Centre he’s been running and after the death of around 8 people.
Also, there is another COVID center in a hotel called Minerva where he is running a similar one. From the patients in this center and their attendants, hospital management is accused of overcharging their patients.
Latha (name changed), daughter of a COVID-positive patient says, “My parents are admitted hereafter they turned COVID positive recently. We are being charged almost Rs 25,000 to 30,000 per day. Which means a bill with a lakh rupees for three to four days. This is definitely a huge amount for any middle-class family during these tough times.”
The latest update is that hospital management has asked all the patients to vacate the center and go back to their homes. This is because of the fire mishap that has happened and the management is not in a stage to take any more risks with the lives of patients.
An ex-gratia worth Rs 50 lakhs will be given to the families of the ones who lost their lives in the accident.
