'Shekar', starring Angry Star Rajasekhar as the hero, is being directed by newcomer Lalith. Produced by MLV Satyanarayana, Shivani, Shivathmika and Venkata Srinivas Boggaram, the film's shoot is almost over.

The news is that the action thriller has joined the Sankranthi 2022 race. It will be one of the most promising films to be in the fray during the festival season. The 'PSV Garuda Vega' and 'Kalki' actor is playing an author-backed role in 'Shekar'. Thanks to his conviction, the project has acquired a lot of importance. The director is happy with the output so far and the post-production works are going to be carried out at a brisk pace.

So far, the official date is not yet announced. But reliable sources tell us that the makers are confident that 'Shekar' has the potential to become a Sankranthi hit.

Also featuring Anu Sitara and Muskaan Khubchandani of 'George Reddy' fame, the film is written by Lakshmi Bhupala. If cinematography is by Mallikarjun Naragani, Anup Rubens is composing the music.
