The Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike at last decided on Padmabhushan, Phalke Award winner Dr Rajakumar statue at South End Circle.

The statue of Dr Rajakumar was supposed to come up at Corporation circle near the BBMP office but the place is now allotted at Ti Nam Srikantaiah Circle at South End Circle.

This is the 14.5 feet Dr Rajakumar statue in bronze with a bird in the hand set for unveiling on Thursday at 10.30 am. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be present with Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, Shivarajakumar and Puneeth Rajakumar.

This is the first statue from the BBMP and there are several statues of Dr Rajakumar in nook and corner of Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka.

Bengaluru City Mayor Sathyanarayana and a few minister and political party members are taking part in the event tomorrow.
