This month sees the birth anniversary of icon of Kannada cinema, Dr Rajakumar fans from Tumkur have made a silver statue of Dr Rajakumar and brought it to Bangalore at Doddaganapathi Temple on Thursday morning where ‘Mylari’ starring Shivarajakumar was launched.

It is 6.350 kilograms weight Dr Rajakumar silver statue that costed roughly around Rs.3 lakhs for Shivakumar Aralu. It will be taken in a procession in Tumkur on the birth anniversary of Dr Rajakumar on April 24 and it will be placed in the Tumkur Jilla Shatha Shrungaraja Raj Abhimani Sangha.

Shivarajakumar holding the statue became very emotional on Thursday morning. The procession with 14 different musicians is followed by mass feeding to 10,000 people. Sculptor Nakod Kamalesh took three months to carve the statue.
