Dr. Raj remembered

It was a festive mood for the 81st birth anniversary of Dada Saheb Phalke award winner icon of Kannada cinema Dr. Rajakumar on Friday April 24. It was three years ago on April 12 the icon passed away but the memory of this marvelous actor cum great human being Dr. Rajakumar is fresh in the memory of Kannadigas.
Dr. Rajakumar birth anniversary was celebrated by fans, family members and industry people in different venues throughout the day.
At the Dr. Rajakumar Samadhi in Kanteerava studios on 2.5 acre land the work for the memorial is going on speedily and this is where the fans thronged in large numbers. The family members of Dr. Rajakumar came to the memorial at 11.30 am and took part in the activities. Raghavendra Rajakumar his two sons and Puneeth Rajakumar donated the blood at the camp conducted here. The fans arrived here were offered lunch and soft drinks.
It is from this place M Sunil Babu (Gadag) carrying the message of Dr. Rajakumar ÂNethra Dhana Maha Dhana left by skating to Belgaum. Sunil Babu 650 kilometers in skating received blessings from Dr. Rajakumar family. In the past on AIDS awareness and Polio drops significance for child Sunil Babu carried out skating.
At BVK Iyengar busy road the Dr. Rajakumar photo exhibition and 250 kilograms of Dr. Rajakumar idol in chocolate cake was inaugurated in Bangalore. Babu and Kumar of Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Frame Works spent nearly Rs.2.5 lakhs on this unique idol of Dr. Raj in cake.
In the evening at Shikshana Sadhana Dr. Rajakumar was remembered in a function held by Karnataka information department and music director Hamsalekha. Information director Vishukumar, Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Smt. Parvathamma Rajakumar and Dr. Jayamala were present at this function. The songs of Dr. Rajakumar films were sung at this evening.
