Dove apologises for racist ad

Dove apologized for posting an advertisement on Facebook that became a subject of controversy. A three second video was posted on Social media where a black woman removes her brown T shirt only to reveal a white woman underneath it, the advertisement was to promote Dove Body wash which is supposedly said to have cleansed her.

The ad has since then become controversial and shunned by social media with netizens criticizing the racist content in it. Dove has removed the video and has apologized for posting insensitive content, in a press statement released Dove further mentioned that it respects beauty in diversity and regret the offense that it might have caused.
