When most films and their actors aim at justifying their comedies by terming them as 'situational' or 'classy', Arshad Warsi is merrily flaunting his 'Double Dhamaal' for what it is. As per the actor, the film is in a genre of it's own and has the kind of banana peel humour that would not just make it appear as a kids' outing but also turn it into the kind that would appeal to adults alike.

"From the 'Dhamaal' series, you expect a different world altogether. The comedy here is also different from the kind that you see on screen," says Arshad, "In fact when compared to my own comedy franchises like 'Golmaal' or 'Munnabhai', this one is poles apart. It is set in pretty much the same zone as Hollywood comedy 'Screwballs' (1983)."

For the initiated, over the decades 'Screwballs' has enjoyed a cult status for itself. It was a youth comedy about zany high school students and was set in the 1960s. Though the plotline of 'Double Dhamaal' has nothing to do with 'Screwballs', it's the presentation and style that is expected to take the similar route.

"You would see quite a lot of banana peel humour here," he continues, "It is the kind of film that would instantly appeal to the kids but would also make adults laugh out loud."

With Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Ashish Chaudhary and Javed Jaferi as the lead protagonists and also starring Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut and Satish Kaushik in principal roles, 'Double Dhamaal' arrives all over on 24th June.
