They looked poles apart when they were first cast together in ‘The Dirty Picture’. But their jodi smashed clear all the misconceptions, giving way to yet another project together. Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi proved that two extreme personalities can complement well on screen and next, again they will be seen sharing screen in Rajkumar Gupta upcoming directorial ‘Ghanchakkar’.

In ‘Ghanchakkar’ Vidya and Emraan play a boisterous, Punjabi couple – where Emraan plays Sanju, an ex-conman with a laidback personality while Vidya plays a very contrasting character to him as an ambitious housewife. While they apparently are loggerheads in this comic-thriller, at the same time they seem to spark off some chemistry as well.

Talking about their chemistry, Vidya was quoted in an interview, “I think 'Raaz 3' (read secret) of our chemistry is that we may have said three words to each other in 'The Dirty Picture', but in this one we have said six words. So, it should probably double the chemistry between us.”

Balan also added to say that with ‘Ghanchakkar’ she is out to drive away the notion that housewives are boring. “That's a very huge misconception and I hope people realise that after 'Ghanchakkar'," Vidya remarked.

Said to be sequel of Rahul Roy-Mallika Sherawat starrer ‘Pyaar Ka Side Effects’, ‘Ghanchakkar’ is bannered under UTV Motion Pictures.
