You know a hero has come of age commercially when a big producer and director boldly go for a dual role with him.

By that reckoning, Ravi Teja has surely made it. The brawny mass hero, who has been very consistent in the last few years coming up with hits, has been cast in a double role for the first time in his career.

Doing a double role is still a challenge, and Ravi Teja relishes it. ‘I am looking forward to it,’ he says.

The movie where he is playing the twin roles is SS Rajamouli’s new movie in which he is paired with the hot and happening Anushka. Ruthika is also in the cast. Sources say there may be another heroine in the movie.

MM Keeravani scores the music while ML Kumar Chowdary produces it.

Talking of coming of age, Ravi Teja will literally gather one more year to his age on January 26. It is his birthday. But there may be another reason for him to celebrate as his much-expected Shock is set for release on that day.

Jyothika is the heroine. Harish directs this Ram Gopal Verma production venture. Tabu plays an important role (a journalist) in the movie.

So it is double bill twice over for Ravi Teja.
