The best part of this film is title ‘Doodh Sagar’ – content wise it is old wine in new bottle. Very disappointing in convincing the audience to sit through! The protagonist is monotonous throughout the film giving a tragic look does not inspire in his debut. Debutant Samuel Tony struggles hard in giving a less than mediocre film. This is best suited for 13 part television serial. With a title like ‘Doodh Sagar’ director Tony does not give the visual splendor of exotic location that we have seen in ‘Myna’ in super camera work of Sathya Hegde. Akash (Akshay) has run away from his village on false allegation fearing danger on his life. That is because he is a failed lover. Before ending her life Archana (Deepika Das in village get up) writes a letter and gives that as a gift to Akshay on a condition that he should open it when time comes. The time comes in the climax and that relieve all charges on Akash. Before that wandering in life Akash come in to contact with Harini (Deepika Das again – city girl) who has lost her lover two years ago. In the journey of Akash and Harini they know each other better. All misconceptions arising out of situation gets solved for a happy ending. The film badly needed performers. Akshay has long way to go. From hair cut to his body language, dialogue delivery and emoting has to improve. Deepika Das as village belle looks like olden days heroine. Close up is not that convincing from this debutant. Sumithra, Mithra, Ninasam Ashwath lent good support in character roles. Gautham Srivatsa is the musical hero of this film. He has given three lovely tunes – Nee Sum Sumne Kareyuve…..Chooru Chooru Nuchchu Nooru….and Radhe Radhe….songs are melodious and well balanced. Nagesh Acharya cinematography of exteriors is another pleasant view of this film ‘Doodh Sagar’. Score - 5/10
