'Don't watch pirated CDs': Arundhathi producer appeals

Kodi Ramakrishna's 'Arundhathi' starring Anushka has turned out to be a visual wonder. The film produced by M. Shyam Prasad Reddy is running to packed houses and is reportedly raining collections.

The producer met with the press today (Jan 17) at Shabdalaya and appealed to the masses to refrain from watching the film on pirated discs.

Speaking at the meet he said, An unidentified person called me over the phone and said that he will see to it that no illegal CD of the movie is released for 2-weeks and in return demanded 3-lakhs. I did not agree to the deal.

He added to bring out the quality visuals and acoustics for 'Arudhathi' we had specially arranged for the Motion Control camera from Australia, to can the film. One can get the thrill and experience of 'Arundhathi' only by watching it in theatres. Therefore, I request you all not to watch on illegal CDs. Please do not encourage it.

Since the film is highly sough after, the producer declared that he is making arrangements for an additional 100 prints.
