Prasanna Kumar and Vallabhaneni Ashok, the producers of the Telugu version of Rajinikanth's 'Peta', have created a storm in the Telugu film industry by lashing out at the likes of Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and UV Creations. The duo have alleged that some powerful people who "hold control over cinema theatres" are giving a raw deal to 'Peta'. 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and 'F2' are getting the greatest priority this season, the duo have lamented. Ashok has even called them "dogs" and requested Chandrababu Naidu and KCR to eliminate the "theatre mafia".
'Geetha Govindam' producer Bunny Vas, who belongs to the Geetha Arts camp, has hit out at the Ashok-Prasanna Kumar duo. "Prasanna Kumar garu, you are talking nonsense with limited knowledge. You are testing our patience. If we have to hit back, the only thing that will come in the way is our culture," Bunny Vas wrote on Facebook.
There is a buzz that the 'Peta' producers have made the controversial comments at the behest of a particular camp in the Telugu film industry. Looks like the first ever full-blown controversy of 2019 has just started raging on!
