Dont spread false news on Rahman says Rahmans ex-wife Saira Bhanu

The news about the separation of AR Rahman and his wife Saira Bhanu sent tremors across the film fraternity. The couple lived together for almost 29 years and on this context, both Rahman and Saira sent statements separately to media, confirming the divorce.

However, within few hours of Rahman announcing a separation, his bassist Mohini also announced a divorce. Many youtube channels and some over enthusiastic people on social media started spreading false allegations against Rahman linking the two. In this context, Rahman sent a legal notice to all slanders. Meanwhile, his wife Saira sent a voice note, where she praises Rahman and tells that she trust him with her life.

Saira also requested everyone to not spread false allegations against Rahman.

Dont spread false news on Rahman says Rahmans ex-wife Saira Bhanu

"This is Saira Rahman. I am currently in Bombay. I have been physically unwell for the last couple of months. I would request the entire Youtube community and Tamil media not to say anything bad against him. He is a gem of a person and the best man in the world. Because of my health issues, I have to leave Chennai. I know you people would wonder why I am not in Chennai. I am getting my treatment. I do not want to disturb anybody. AR Rahman is an amazing human being. All I would request is to let him be as he is. I trust him with my life. That's how much I love him, and that's how much he loves. I request everyone to stop false allegations against him, and God Bless. I sincerely pray that we are left alone and given space at the moment. We are not announcing anything officially yet I request everyone to stop tarnishing his name which is absolutely rubbish. Thank you." she said in the voice note.
