Is Mahesh Babu doing a key supporting role in Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya'? The answer is certainly 'no' as of now.
In his interview to Andhra Jyothi, the 'Sye Raa' megastar has opened up on the rumours. "I really don't know how Mahesh's name came to do the rounds. He loves and respects me. I like him a lot. He is like my son. It would be great if we both get an opportunity to act together," the legendary actor says.
He adds that director Koratala Siva has always wanted to cast Ram Charan for the character. "Charan's dates are yet to be adjusted. He has been busy with 'RRR'. If he and Rajamouli come to an understanding, Charan will do 'Acharya'. He has got a reasonably extended role in the movie," Chiru avers.
The film has music by Mani Sharma and its release date is yet to be announced.
