With TDP MPs in Rajya Sabha, Y Sujana Chowdary, CM Ramesh, TG Venkatesh and Garikapati Mohan Rao passing a resolution on Thursday to merge the Legislature Party of Telugu Desam Party with BJP, it has been a day of sensational developments.  

TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has opened up on the issue and said that his party and government had fought with the BJP only for Special Category Status.  "We gave up Union Ministries for SCS.  We condemn the attempts of the BJP to weaken our party.  Crises are not new to us. Leaders and cadre have nothing to be nervous about," CBN said.

The RS MPs of the TDP, who will now be a separate group in the Parliament, have invoked Paragraph 4 of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.  They have praised Narendra Modi for "giving impeccable leadership" to the country.
