Sivakarthikeyan's 'Don' was released in theatres yesterday, opening to a positive word of mouth from the audience. The latest campus comedy entertainer has gained appreciation from the critics too. With cheerful responses everywhere, the film is doing exceptionally well at the box office.
'Don' is directed by the debutant Cibi Chakravarthi, who is a former assistant of director Atlee. Yesterday, Atlee watched his student's maiden work and heaped praise on his work. Atlee tweeted, "#Don emotional family entertainer @Siva_Kartikeyan super performance da,lovely film , thanks for giving an opportunity to debut director, mass da. @Dir_Cibi director sirr , so proud of you da,great movie emotionally moved keep rocking love you da Congrats to entire team" (sic).
Cibi Chakravarthi shared Atlee's post on Twitter and replied, "Thanks a ton to my guru @Atlee_dir sir your appreciation means a lot to me sir Couldn’t express my happiness through words..Am highly elated sir" (sic). 'Don' is about a man recollecting his past and inventing the love he had for his strict father.
'Don' stars Sivakarthikeyan, Priyanka Mohan, SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Soori, Sivaangi, Raju Jeyamohan, RJ Vijay, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, Radha Ravi, Kaali Venkat and others. The movie features music composed by Anirudh, with cinematography and editing by KM Bhaskaran and Nagooran respectively.
