Doing Aranya was tougher than Baahubali: Rana Daggubati

If you thought Rana Daggubati had a breeze playing the role of an elephant caretaker in 'Aranya', you are wrong. The 'Virata Parvam' star had a really hard time shooting for the jungle drama, directed by Prabhu Solomon.

Speaking on Indulge Times Pass of The New Indian Express, Rana has said that 'Aranya' (which is titled 'Haathi Mere Saathi' in Hindi and 'Kaadan' in Tamil) is the toughest film he has shot for. "I had to bear the weight of the trunk of an elephant, on my shoulders. The trunk would easily weigh 160-170 kgs. Each of these films allows me to live a new experience. Only cinema can provide this," the 35-year-old actor says, adding that it was harder than what doing Rajamouli's 'Baahubali' had entailed.

The film, also featuring Vishnu Vishal and Pulkit Samrat, will either release directly on OTT or head to theatres.

Meanwhile, on the personal front, Rana is gearing up for his wedding on August 8. Miheeka Bajaj, an interior designer, is his girlfriend.
