The century star of Kannada cinema Shivarajakumar is likely to get the honorary doctorate from Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary (VISKUB). According to sources the official communication has not reached Shivarajakumar with this regard.

In the second generation of actors Shivarajakumar will be the first one to get such an honor. He has a stethoscope holding daughter Dr Nirupama in the house. Now he gets the honorary doctorate. Shivarajakumar father Rajakumar got honorary doctorate in the year 1976.

Dr Shivarajakumar put in 28 years of service and in his first film ‘Anand’ he played the role of a dancer and today with many hits and misses in the career Shivarajakumar get the rare honor of doctorate.

Recently Hamsalekha gets the honorary doctorate from Bangalore University for his meritorious service. In Kannada cinema industry honorary doctorate was bestowed on many artists such as Dr Rajakumar, Dr Vishnuvardhana, Dr Girish Kasaravalli, Dr B Saroja Devi, Dr Leelavathi, Dr Ambarish, Dr Jayanthi, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana, Dr Rajesh, Dr Sunder Raj, Dr Srinath and others.

The doctorate for Dr Jayamala and Dr Chandini is for PHD – top actor Sridhar PHD on Bharathanatyam is likely to get him doctorate very soon.
