Director Nelson who delivered the super hit Nayanthara starrer 'Kolamavu Kokila' has once again done it with his second film 'Doctor' starring Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead roles. The film has helped revive the theater business in Tamil Nadu by attracting family audiences in large numbers and it is poised to attain blockbuster status with the upcoming Pooja holidays.

It is already well documented that Nelson actually made his debut in the Simbu starrer 'Vettai Mannan' that began filming in 2010 but was shelved midway. Now a throwback video of Simbu praising Nelson has gone viral on the internet.

Simbu has shared in a throwback video that Nelson is a friend of his since schooldays and that he worked with him as an associate in 'Manmadhan' and 'Vallavan' too. He added that he agreed to judge the Jodi Number One show on Vijay TV as Nelson was its director and if not for him he would not have done a television show.

Speaking about 'Vettai Mannan', Simbu has said that when the very talented Nelson asked him he immediately said yes and predicted that he would become a leading director in the future.

Simbu's words have now come true and Nelson after delivering the sensational 'Doctor' has now completed seventy five percent of the shooting of Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast'. Fans are hoping that Simbu and Nelson reunite for a new project.
