Doctor Love
After a gap of a few months, the young stars of Mollywood are getting together to greet the audience this Onam with a campus film. Titled as 'Dr Love', the movie scripted and directed by K Biju is planned as a campus rom-com, that will appeal to viewers of all ages.
The movie has Kunchakko Boban as Vinayachandran who is much popular in the nick name 'Romace Consultant'. A through gentleman in mannerisms and looks, Vinayachandran is extremely creative...the most when he deals with people who are affected with love. He is the last word for who ever yearning for love and those who have a problem with their love affairs. The character lives in a world of romance and he even writes poems and stories with romance as the subject. Hearing much about this special capability of Vinayachandran, Satyasheelan, who is the PE teacher of a local college invites him to the campus, but not as a student. He is there in the disguise of a canteen worker, but to treat the very special case in the college, which had long been the big problem among the students. Vinayachandran becomes very popular among students with his invaluable counsel to youngsters in the college struck by Cupid's arrow. They christen him 'Dr. Love' and the after-effects of his so-called 'guidance' is what that takes the story forward. Vinayachandran's own love story is also the theme of the movie, but that is part of the suspense that will be revealed as the film progresses.
Bhavana stars as Ebin in the film.Just as the name, the character is quite a tomboy who has loads of attitude. Coming from a wealthy family she is the de facto leader of a group of friends in the college. Ananya plays the role of an insurance agent named Gouri, who also has a notable role in the film.
Seemingly, a take on the Hollywood film 'Hitch' featuring Will Smith, and Vijay's 'Tamil flick Shajahan', the movie features a mammooth star cast including Nedumudi Venu, lal, Innocent, Salimkumar, Vijayaraghavan, Manikkuttan, Rejith Menon, Beyonne, Bhagath Manuel, Hemanth, Prakash, Niya, Aju Varghese, Shravan, Ananya, Shari, Roselin, Nayana and Divya. Actress Divya unni's younger sister Vidhya unni also debutes through the film playing an important character.
Shaji is the cinematographer of 'Dr Love while Vinu Thomas tunes the songs written by Vayalar Sharath.V Sajan is the editor while Saburam does the art direction.
'Dr. Love' is being produced by Joy Thomas Shakthikulangara, under the banner of Jithin Arts. Max lab brings this movie to theatres, this Onam.
