Kajol stars as a principled police officer grappling with a moral quandary when Kriti Sanon's convict character disrupts the delicate balance between truth and evidence in the official teaser for Shashanka Chaturvedi's upcoming crime thriller, "Do Patti," released by Netflix on February 29.

The teaser, which runs for one minute and thirteen seconds, unfolds against the majestic backdrop of the northern Indian hills. It opens with Kajol, in her first appearance wearing a police uniform, riding a motorcycle along a winding mountain road. The scene then transitions to Kriti, riding with her partner, and later, to her dazzling presence at a party in an evening gown. The teaser shifts back to Kajol, who appears anxious and checks her phone.

As the teaser progresses, sensuous sequences are intercut with scenes of Kajol firing at a vehicle on a stormy night. The tension escalates with a confrontation between Kajol and Kriti. "Jab sach aur saboot aapas mai bhir jaye, tab kya krna chahite (What to do when truth and evidence collide)?" Kajol's character asks. The screen fades to black before we hear Kriti's response, "Wahi karna chahiye jo dil kahe (Do what your heart asks you to)."

The teaser concludes with Kriti, dressed in a red sheer dress, commenting on the heart's inclination to deceive. "Do Patti" is Kriti's maiden production under her banner Blue Butterfly Films, established in July 2023. It also marks her second collaboration with Kajol after Rohit Shetty's 2015 romantic action comedy "Dilwale." Additionally, the film introduces Shaheer Sheikh, a prominent figure in Indian television, to the silver screen.

Co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, who also serves as the screenwriter, "Do Patti" is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2024.
