Kalaigniar Karunanidhi hospitalised

DMK Chief Kalaigniar Karunanidhi has been hospitalized at the Kaveri Hospital in Alwarpet. The management has released a statement that it is a routine health checkup and to change the tracheostomy tube which has to be done every six months and that he would be discharged later this evening.
The former Chief Minister has been largely out of active politics for the past several months due to his age related ailments. He is undergoing speech therapy and his health has improved a lot. In recent times he has met political leaders and also his cadres bringing them great cheer.
