Breaking: Vijayakanth announces DMDK election candidates!

Lok Sabha elections have scheduled to be held on April 18 for Tamil Nadu in a single phase, and all the major political parties have formed alliances, and started announcing the list of candidates from their respective parties who would be contesting the elections.

While DMK and ADMK candidate list was filled with sons and daughters of prominent members of the parties, TTV Dinakaran's AMMK candidate list had chances given for disqualified MLAs as well. Earlier today, Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan had made it official that MNM candidate list will be out on March 20.

Now, DMDK leader Captain Vijayakanth has announced the list of candidates from his party, contesting the Lok Sabha elections, and they are as follows. DMDK had entered into an alliance with ADMK, and was given 4 seats, and the candidates fighting elections are - LK Sudeesh from Kallakurichi, Doctor Ilangovan from Trichy, Alagarsamy from Virudhunagar and Azhagapuram Mohanraj from North Chennai. While many had expected that Captain Vijayakanth himself might contest elections, this announcement has come as a disappointment, though his health conditions have made him take the decision reportedly.
