Actress Divya Spandana, who was offered the heroine role in Jeeva-Srikanth starrer Drohi, says she wasn’t inclined to take up the role. Ask her why and she immediately says it is because she has a policy against doing a double-heroine subject.

‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the actress immediately points out, was only an exception as her character turned out to be the most important of the three. Yet another reason was also that the role required her to play mum and daughter, a move she decided against in this stage of her career.

The actress, who is currently working in Milind Rau’s ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’, says she is eyeing the top slot in Kollywood and is working hard to get herself an identity here. For this, the actress contends that a double heroine subject does not help and so, she has decided against starring in them.

After working in ‘Kadhal 2 Kalyanam’, the actress will pair up with Jeeva in his next flick, ‘Singam Puli’.
