Actress Divya Spandana is currently busy shooting for the highly anticipated film 'Varanam Aayiram' in which she shares the screen with Suriya. Sameera Reddy and Simran Bagga are the other heroines of the film.

Divya the reigning diva of Kannada filmdom had acted in Tamil films like 'Kuthu', 'Giri' and 'Polladhavan' which became a smash hit at the box office. Till date she has never dubbed for her characters in Tamil films. On the insistence of Gautham Menon reports indicate that Divya has dubbed for her role in 'Varanam Aayiram' which has in actuality supplemented more emotional impact and realism to the scenes.

Divya, also known by her real name 'Ramya', has turned down a Kannada film offer recently. The film titled 'Mukhiya Manthiri I Love You' required her to play the State's Chief Minister's lady love.
