Former actress Divya Khosla Kumar, who will be making her directorial debut with a youthful film ‘Yaariyan’, recently spoke about the challenges that she had to face while casting for the film.

Talking about the casting of the film, Divya, who wanted to direct a film ever since she was 18, added, "Casting was the toughest part. If there are only two or three characters in a film, it’s comparatively easier but I had 20 characters in the age group of 21-22. I did not find any actors from the existing lot, in this age group, who could fit into my characters. So, I cast fresh faces. Also, though my vision was big, I had a limited budget. Now that the trailers are out, people are saying it looks refreshing and I am glad."

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, ‘Yaariyan’ is a contemporary and youthful film that takes audiences through the trials and tribulations of the best years of their life. Slated to release on January 10, The film stars Himansh Kohli, Dev Sharma, Shreyas Pardiwala, Rakul Preet, Nicole Faria, Evelyn Sharma, Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover.
