'Dishoom' makes impact on first day

Rohit Dhawan's 'Dishoom', starring Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez, has managed to enthrall Indian audiences. The action-adventure film has minted Rs 11.05 crore on its opening day.

'Dishoom', which released on Friday, opened to fantastic reviews and and has proved to be a complete entertainer by garnering a thumbs up from the audience, read a statement. Apart from them, the film also stars Akshaye Khanna in a negative role.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and presented by Eros International, 'Dishoom' revolves around India's top batsman, who goes missing in the Middle East and two police officials from either side of the Arabian Sea team up for a 36-hour manhunt.

Meanwhile, 'Dishoom' has been banned in Pakistan. "Really upset that 'Dishoom' is banned in Pakistan. I don't think the film eventually shows any country in a bad light. It's a wrong decision," Varun tweeted.
